Watch the city flip the switch to begin the magical Nights of Lights holiday celebration.

The Nights of Lights Lighting Ceremony, also known as Light Up! Night, is where locals and vacationers from all over join together to watch The City of St. Augustine flip the switch on holiday lights all over historic downtown. Leading up to this annual occasion is a concert and a countdown, followed by more music. Enjoy the magical atmosphere on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

SA_NOL_DowntownPlazaThe entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. with live music outside the Lightner Museum, provided by Showtime USA. A live band will begin playing in the gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitucion at 5:30 p.m. for the hour leading up to the main event. At 6:30 p.m., the countdown for the lighting begins. After the lighting, the band will play again until 8:00 p.m. All Star Orchestra plays big band swing and will also be playing Christmas Carols. The large Christmas tree in the Plaza will also be turned on so visitors can get photos for their holiday Christmas cards.

There is no designated parking. Meter parking is free after 5:00 p.m. Pay-to-park lots are available downtown. The Historic Downtown Parking Facility charges $12 per car for all-day parking, but handicapped parking is free.

Admission: Free.

When? Saturday, November 22, 2014. 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where?  The Plaza de la Constitucion on King Street in Historic Downtown St. Augustine.
