Sarasota Pineapple Drop
Join the countdown to midnight with thousands of party people as the famed Pineapple Drop takes place at the intersection of Lemon Ave and Main Street. Dancing in the streets begins at 8 p.m. The Griswolds presented by The Gator Club will perform on the east stage on Main Street near C’est La Vie. DJs presented by Ivory Lounge will be on the west stage near Five Points. Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones presented by Mattison’s City Grill will play on the north stage at Lemon Avenue and First Street. DJ Circus Freek from The Gator Club will be at the Pineapple stage at the intersection of Lemon and Main playing your favorite dance hits. A midway of games, rides and attractions for children starts at 2 p.m. on State Street.

Main Street Live
Get down at downtown Bradenton’s biggest street party. Old Main Street, between Manatee and 3rd avenues, is closed to vehicular traffic as vendors line the streets and live music plays throughout the night by high-energy, eclectic local favorites Big Daddy. The street closes around 2:30 p.m. prior to each event, so remember to move your vehicle if you park on Old Main Street.

At the Florida Winefest and Full Moon Productions New Year’s Eve party, everyone counts as a VIP. That means valet parking, a red carpet, two bands, a DJ, midnight ball drop, appetizers from various local restaurants and caterers, Champagne with commemorative glass, coffee and dessert bar after midnight and open top-shelf liquor, wine and beer bars. Music features the Reverend Barry & Funktastic Soul featuring The Hellacious Horns, Kettle of Fish, and DJ Jeffrey Michaels. As the clock strikes midnight, celebrate with a festive ball drop countdown, along with a virtual fireworks display and a laser light show to ring in 2015. A portion of ticket sales and all of the proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will be donated to local non-profit Caring for Children Charities.

Sarasota Silent Disco
Spend New Year’s Eve on the top floor of Palm Parking Garage, which offers incredible view of the city and fireworks. The Silent Disco will provide you with a pair of two-channel wireless headphones. Choose from two live DJs including Israeli DJ Dor Dekel. Finished dancing? Take off the headphones and order a drink or have a conversation without having to yell over the music. Ticket includes cash bar and food vendors, a free party favor and a Champagne toast at midnight. VIP tickets include an open bar and assorted hors d’ouvres in the VIP lounge. Proceeds benefit the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee.

WSLR New Year’s Eve Celebration
WSLR Community Radio will host a family friendly New’s Years Eve party featuring Cuban-born, world-class tres player Renesito Avich; the David Smash Band; and The Dram, known for its blend of punk and southern rock. Last year’s popular hat-making station will be back so all party-goers will be able to fashion a unique topper. Attendees are invited to bring their own noisemakers for the Midnight Kumquat Drop. Special guests from the Rhythm Inlet will perform to welcome in the New Year at midnight. The event is a benefit for WSLR Community Radio and advance tickets are available at the WSLR studios and online at wslr.org.

Beachhouse New Year’s Eve Party and Fireworks Show
Guests are invited to celebrate in style at the The Beachhouse Restaurant, which recently underwent a complete dining room and bar remodel, either indoors or outside on the waterfront deck on Bradenton Beach. Tables under the covered pavilion are available for $100 each for seating for up to six guests. The reserved tables will be ready at 9 p.m. The reservation also includes a champagne toast, party favors, music by DJ Chuck Caudill, dancing and a view of the fireworks show (weather permitting). Guests may order from the regular restaurant menu. Seating elsewhere on the deck and inside the dining room will be first come, first serve. Food and drinks are not included in the reservation. Party at Sharky’s on the Pier
The Rogaines will entertain guests with their high-energy rock and roll dance music at Venice’s most famous restaurant. New Year’s Eve at Sharky’s on the Pier will also include fireworks and a champagne toast at midnight. Plus, guests will receive party favors. Reservations are not needed for the New Year’s Eve party. Sharky’s specializes in seafood, chicken, choice of steaks and ribs, homemade desserts and tropical drinks served at the tiki bar overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Smack dab in the center of the downtown Sarasota Pineapple Drop, Mattison’s City Grille will have two dinner seatings, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. There will be live music, dancing, countdown to midnight, cash bar, regular lunch and dinner menus along with New Year’s Eve drink and entrée specials. Las Vegas-Style New Year’s Eve Dinner Party and Celebration
Mattison’s Bayside at the Van Wezel presents a Las Vegas-Style Dinner Party and Celebration on NYE. The White Buffalo Saloon will close to the public for the night and transform into a musical showcase of Top 40 hits from the ’80s to the present.
