Looking for a great race? Well look no further.  The Long Play (LP) Race will take place on Sunday, March 6 in Nobleton, FL in the heart of the Withlacoohee State Forest –  one of the most scenic areas in the southeast.  Most of the running is in Croom (part of Withlacoochee) with the start / finish happening at Lake Rogers Regional Park.  Great medals and finisher awards, great food, BEER, super course – this race has it all.       

Croom has fantastic running trails – some of the best in the state.  This course is different from both Croom Zoom and the Fools Run.  You will be running along the the Withlacoochee Trail to access a number of beautiful trails not used in any other running races at Croom.  You wind through pine and oak trees along most of the course.

The race start and /finish takes place at Lake Rogers Regional Park.  This a great facility that has plenty of parking, large pavilion, bathrooms, and more.

Post-Race Picnic with BEER

In addition to the usual mix of bagels, bananas.., this picnic will have burgers, hot dogs, chips, peanuts… and BEER.  No reason to feel guilty about eating after enjoying this fantastic run.

Unique Awards for Finishers

Finishers for all races receive a unique Vinyl Record Award.  You won’t find any running awards quite like them.  This is in addition to the medals for the Half and LP distances and also 10 Year Age Group Awards.

33 1/3 Mile  – LP
The 33 1/3 course is only 1 loop, making it the longest single loop trail run in Florida.  There will be 7 aid/water stations along the course.

Half Marathon & 5 Mile
These courses are enjoyable runs through the forest.  Both run along the Withlacochee Trail for a short amount of time and use mostly single track after that.  The 5M course will have 1 water stop and the 1/2 Marathon will have 4 water stops.
