A musical journey through the decades, celebrating
America’s greatest hits and legends!

A 21,000-square-foot tent will be filled with intricate sand-sculpted art crafted by ten world-class sand sculptors using Clearwater’s internationally-famous sugar sand. See one-thousand tons of sand come to life at on Clearwater Beach!

But how do they do it?  We bring in the most talented sand sculptors from all over the United States (as far as England) to create and build the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit.  It takes ten days to build the display using one-thousand tons of Clearwater Beach sand. The Sculptors don’t use molds; everything is handcrafted using utility, baking, dentist tools, and brushes.
“Team Sandtastic” will be on site throughout the festival adding finishing touches to the exhibit, teaching free sand sculpting workshops, and participating in a master sand sculpting competition for a cash prize.

Each year the theme of the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit changes, so you’ll never see the same sculpture twice!
Check out the Sculptor Bios Pages to learn more about each one of our artists.

Thanks for your post about the sugar/sand exhibit. These pictures are totally cool.

Usually I don’t like posts that are ‘commercial’ , however I like your post because it gives me something “different’ to remember about Florida. I’ll probably never visit Florida but I love the virtual visit here, through your picture and your writing about the sand/sugar.

    Totally cool! Nice pictures.
